Clubs & Societies are the lifeblood of any hobby and Phillumeny is no exception. The annual subscription to most of the Clubs and Societies is very reasonable (most are between £5 and £15 a year or the equivalent for overseas clubs & societies) and nearly all produce an "In House Magazine". The information that collectors can get from these magazines is invaluable for understanding more fully the hobby and I would actively encourage any visitor to this site to consider joining at least one, if not all of the clubs and societies listed on these pages.
As events of the different organisations become known, they will be published under Forthcoming Events with as much information as possible. In addition, details of who to contact, table prices and anything remotely useful about the Clubs, Societies or Events will be found in that section
I would like to make this area "The place to visit" when anyone wants to know anything about any club or society. Therefore I actively encourage those Clubs and Societies that are not currently listed to contact me by e-mail with their details as outlined in the Page Request area. Once I have received the necessary details, their page could be listed by the end of that day! In particular I actively encourage overseas clubs and societies to get in touch as I feel that this is one area of the hobby that is sadly overlooked.
When I went to school (many years ago now) we were only taught English, so regretfully, my only stipulation is that any correspondence must be in English as I am too old in the tooth to start to learn different languages (unless someone would like to teach me - French would be good!?).
To get your club or society onto this site, please select Enrolment Application from The Clubs & Societies Fly out Menu Tab. The more organisations on the web site, the better it is for the hobby as a whole!
As the clubs and societies become more progressive, so do the opportunities of being interactive with them, irrespective of how far away you are. A number of the clubs and societies now have a presence on the web and to see exactly who is represented, select Phillumeny Links on the Main Menu Bar.
Please note that the information on the Club & Society pages will change periodically as new clubs are added and sadly sometimes old clubs are deleted. So, it's always a good idea when visiting the site to quickly see if any of the pages have been updated or if any new clubs or societies have been added. Remember, that any upgrades to the site will be recorded in the Updates Area of the web site which is accessible by selecting Updates from the Main Menu Bar
Details in respect of Clubs or Societies for whom I currently have information can be accessed by selecting the appropriate club or society from the fly out menus attached to this menu bar.
